The castle, it belonged to the Bishop of Piacenza. In 1346 it was destroyed by the Piacentines, and then rebuilt in 1372 by Guelphs against the Visconti. Calendasco was located in a strategic position, the entrance is protected by a large tower. Since the time of the Romans it was functional to a system of commercial fittings. This town was also very important for the transit of the Via Francigena.
It still preserves the fourteenth-century aspect, the moat, the entrance once with a drawbridge. It currently belongs partly to the Municipality of Calendasco and partly to private individuals.
